I know, I know, everyone wants a quick fix.
But seriously, if you aren’t losing weight as fast you want, that may just be a good thing.
Here’s why…
Often times when people lose weight quickly, they can be more susceptible to gaining it back.
Not only that, but too often, people get obsessed with the number on the scale. In all actuality, the number on the scale does not tell the whole story.
For example, you can lose 5 pounds really quickly if you starve yourself, but what are you really losing? Likely stored carbohydrate, water, and lean muscle tissue!
It’s much more important to focus on improving body composition (i.e. Increasing muscle mass and decreasing fat stores).
Healthy weight loss can take time. That’s not to say you can’t be aggressive and push yourself. Rather it’s an encouragement, that if you are losing weight slower than you’d like, trust the process.
